The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, at Hara, from the series of fifty-eight prints, Fifty-three Pairings for the Tokaido, published from 1845 to 1846, was the joint work of three artists: nineteen of the designs were contributed by Hiroshige, eight by Kunisada (Toyokuni III), while the remaining thirty-one were created by Kuniyoshi.- The print depicts the old bamboo-gatherer, Sanugi no Miyakko at the garden gate; his daughter, Kaguya-hime, seated within.
