Osamu Sugiyama is specialized in woodblock prints depicting mountain scenes of Japan, Nepal and Europe. The artist is a passionate mountaineer himself and shows us what he experienced during his hiking tours all over the world. - He had studied at the Yoshida Hanga Academy under Toshi Yoshida. The artist had several solo exhibitions in Tokyo over the last years. He was selected for the 50th anniversary exhibition of the prestigious CWAJ print shows t the American club in Tokyo in October 2005. His prints are in the collection of the US Library of Congress in Washington D.C.
