Full-length portrait of the actor, ARASHI RYUZO II (1761-1798), on stage.Wearing a purple robe, he stands before a folding-screen
on a gray floor; the screen is decoarted with irises. - The actor is shown is a very dramatic pose, with the fingers of his
right hand fully spread, his left hand holding one of his swords. A fine work of the artist's best period. - Right panel of a diptych, - a
very rare work (the left panel seems impossible to locate).
