Farmhouses along a village street with a small lowered canal running through it. Footbridges crossing the canal allow access to the houses. The almost monochrome print with just a variation of green color tones and shadings of gray conveys the peaceful picture of a rural village on a hot summer day when the inhabitants prefer to spend the hours of the greatest heat inside their houses. Not even a single animal is to be seen. A charming landscape print, slightly reminiscent of the works of Sekino Jun'ichiro.
